When ChurchLeaders asked about the film’s intended impact, both Litvak and Feuerstein spoke passionately about truth, unity, and courage.

Litvak said, “What we can always do is break bread together and ask questions. And I think that that is what ‘Guns & Moses’ is all about. It’s about asking questions and the pursuit of the truth and being real.”

He also addressed the Second Amendment angle and the importance of community defense: “I wasn’t a gun guy before I joined Maganam…And we show this in the movie.” According to its website, Maganam is a “Jewish, non-profit organization licensed to provide physical, armed security services.”

Feuerstein praised Christian allies and highlighted one key moment in the film. He said:

There’s a great line in the movie where I get to say…”A place where there is no man, be the man.” … If people just walked away from this movie with that one line where it’s about taking responsibility for our best selves and our best behavior and standing for kindness and humanity.

Both men reflected on the pain and urgency of standing together.

“There are a lot of lies being told online,” Litvak said. “So I think that the way that the Christian community can stand by us is in developing an attitude…Get your news from multiple sources. And then, you know, have dinner. Have dinner with a Jew. Break bread with a Jew.”

Feuerstein, moved by survivor testimonies, added: “Our tradition is all about storytelling and remembering so we never forget…We’re not here as victims. We’re here saying we are ready to defend ourselves, but we want to tell our stories, and ‘Guns & Moses’ is a great story.”

The film also stars Neal McDonough, Christopher Lloyd, Dermot Mulroney, and Jake Busey. After its July run in theaters, “Guns & Moses” will be available for streaming soon.
