The “Carpenter” is then shown looking toward a mysterious person, who is convulsing. The trailer flashes several other images, including a closeup of an apparently deceased person’s face beneath a shroud. 

In the final moment of the trailer, the person jolts awake. 

“The Carpenter’s Son” is likely to prove controversial for its source material, as well as for its depiction of the events of Jesus’ childhood as a horror story.
