Former Ohio State Players Return for Faith Event
New England Patriots rookie TreVeyon Henderson returned to OSU for the revival, which he helped spearhead last year. His football skills are a God-given gift, he said, and God also “has given me a platform to continue to spread the word, spread the gospel.”
Gee Scott Jr., Henderson’s former OSU teammate, wore a “Jesus Won” T-shirt Monday night. When he issued a call for baptisms and a young woman stepped forward, Scott shouted, “Hallelujah!”
Kamryn Babb, an alum who now works at OSU, helped lead last year’s event and attended again on Monday. “I think it’s a testimony of the Lord’s heart for people,” he told the student newspaper. “It’s not about one person or a specific group of people. It’s about telling people about the gospel.”
Babb hopes the event becomes a tradition. “To see it going from generation to generation and class to class, it’s really cool to see,” he said.
