Abraham Piper, son of author and theologian John Piper, is not afraid to speak out against fundamentalist Christianity and his conservative upbringing. Nevertheless, Piper says that he is "pro-Christian."

In a recent episode of his “Ask Pastor John” podcast, John Piper offered his thoughts on whether it is a violation of Scripture to allow women to fulfill positions of leadership in parachurch organizations. 

"Young, Restless, and Reformed" was a renewal movement born in the early 2000s and fueled by evangelicals who had grown up with largely theology-free sermons and fundamentalist shibboleths of evangelical churches.

Theologian John Piper was recently asked by Leland, a listener of his “Ask Pastor John” podcast, what the Apostle Paul meant in 1 Timothy 4:1 when he said Christians will leave the faith and devote themselves to “deceitful spirits and teachings of demons.”

Dr. Joe Rigney has resigned as president of Bethlehem College and Seminary, the school announced on April 3. The reason for Rigney’s resignation was “vision divergence.”

John Piper is known for his passion in preaching. So much so that, in a humorous moment, Piper’s hand gestures were so exuberant that his smartwatch thought he had taken a hard fall in the middle of a recent sermon. 

On Wednesday (Dec. 21), pastor and theologian @JohnPiper commemorated his 54th wedding anniversary to his wife Noël by sharing a poem he wrote titled “A Sonnet for Our 54th Anniversary.”
