Outspoken Southern Baptist pastor Tom Buck has made his feelings known about a statement released by Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary regarding the leak of a draft article written by his wife, Jennifer. 

On Wednesday, SEBTS president Danny Akin released a statement about a leaked draft article written by Jennifer Buck, wife of outspoken SBC pastor Tom Buck, explaining the results of an internal investigation.

While many lauded the decision, others pointed out that it stood in contrast to a fellow SBC seminary's decision to keep the names of pro-slavery theologians on its buildings in 2020.

Last week, the Conservative Baptist Network called out Dr. James Merritt, an SBC pastor and visiting professor at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS), for endorsing a sermon given by his son, who is gay. Merritt has now resigned from SEBTS.
