I should tell you to go home more often. And I should make sure you take more days off. I’m sorry I haven’t. You deserve the rest and time off to refuel.
I love you for your passion and commitment to help kids find their identity in Jesus. I admire you for the sacrifices you make. The truth is, you’re the heart of our community, and I’m not the church without you. I know you don’t hear these words enough: Thank you. Thank you for staying on the youth ministry path God has called you to. Thanks for making me who I am.
Sincerely,
The Church
Refuel and Rest!
P.S. I was a part-time youth worker for many years. So I know how hard you work and how unappreciated you feel at times. I know what it’s like to have burnout lurking around the corner. So to every part-time youth worker reading this today: I pray you take a moment to breath in God’s love for you. You give God a great deal of joy! Please take time for yourself. Refuel and rest. Know that you matter to the church and have eternal value and worth.
