Brandon Lake Continues To Collaborate
Christian artist Brandon Lake has experienced unmatched success in his career, while inviting others along.
Lake is currently working on “The Jesus I Know Now” with artist Lainey Wilson.
“Been loving this new one I wrote with @laineywilson @emilyweisband @lukerobert after talking about people’s experience getting taught a different Jesus than one we know now 🙏🏼🤠,” said Lake on his social media.
Jelly Roll and Lake performed their duet “Hard Fought Hallelujah” at the 2025 GMA Dove Awards. The unlikely duo struck up a friendship and music success, combining their unique sounds.
Amid questions and criticism, Lake continues to defend many of his choices to collaborate with artists who don’t quite fit the mold. “If you look at Jesus’ life, look who he spent time with,” Lake has said. “Even the 12 he called were jacked up—you know.”
Along with Franni Cash, Pat Barrett also brings songs from his “I’ve Got a Fire” album to Lake’s King of Hearts Tour.
“For this record, I chose songs because I knew some things that were happening later in the year, and it helped inform which songs I chose,” shared Barrett. “‘I’ve Got a Fire’ connects to a lot that’s been happening in my life.”
