Max Chambers Isn’t New to the Stage
Max Chambers played a young Michael Jackson in “MJ the Musical” on Broadway. He also sings at his local church, Mount Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana.
“I was raised in the church, so that was definitely my foundation for learning that I wanted to sing. So in 2023 I won our local talent show called ArtBreak’s Got Talent, and that opened up the opportunity for me to audition,” Chambers told local news.
During the competition, Chambers received the first “mic drop” from Bublé, making him eligible to perform at the Rose Parade on New Year’s Day.
“I was super excited because I had put all my practice and my work into this performance, and I really just went out there and did what I had practiced,” Chambers said.
Chambers doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight—especially with a family member. His mother recently earned her Ph.D.
“Congratulations to my mom for graduating with her Ph.D.! I am so proud of her for doing just as she tells me to do… learn to do hard things,” Chambers said. “She set a goal and let nothing stop her. I love you mom!”
