“This is sad to me. My family & I have long enjoyed eating at @ChickfilA. No more. From now on we will head to @SteaknShake with it’s (sic) healthier food & big, beautiful American flag,” said Florida Pastor Tom Ascol.

In a separate post, Ascol wrote, “I was fond of @ChickfilA because their food was ok, but more importantly because they professed to uphold God’s law. Now that they have abandoned that, I’ll gladly get food at establishments that make no such pretense.”

“Sad. Chick-fil-A headquarters doubles down on its DEI efforts in response to concerns from customers,” said the FRC.

This is not the first time the Christian-owned fast food chain has received criticism for its policies. In 2023, Chick-fil-A came under fire for its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program, with critics calling it “an inherently anti-Christian practice.”

While Chick-fil-A has been accused of being homophobic in the past, it has long maintained inclusive hiring practices. In fact, in 2022, ChurchLeaders reported that a same-sex couple owns a franchise in Maine.
