“Well, he may not have not have,” said Maher.
“Not according to this guy,” said Allen, “because he said that’s where he did, that’s Bethlehem, this is where he walked…the Zionist guide said at one point, he goes, probably the strongest, most powerful Jew ever.”
Allen said his daughter then told the guide that Jesus was Christian, and, at that point, Allen was afraid of getting into an argument with the guide. Indicating that view of Jesus was “stupid,” Maher pointed out that Jesus was a Jew, “that Christianity came out of Judaism, that, you know, for the first hundred years after Christ died, it was sort of a debate.”
“Not even a debate,” Allen said. He mentioned how much he enjoys traveling in Greece and brought up the Apostle Paul, also known as Saul of Tarsus. At first, Maher said Paul was Greek before Allen said Paul was Roman. Maher agreed and noted that Tarsus was in modern-day Turkey.

Paul was a zealous Jew who “prosecuted Christians,” Allen said.
“Undoubtedly gay,” Maher interjected. “No, really. He seems…he’s very hostile to women.”
Allen went on to describe Paul’s encounter on the road to Damascus, where Jesus appears while Paul was on his way to persecute Christians, and tells Paul, “What’s your freaking problem with me?” said Allen.
“And he goes, ‘Oh, God, we screwed up,’” said Allen. “He goes, ‘You’re damn right you screwed up.’”
“He went back to Jerusalem and said, ‘Guys, we’ve screwed up,’” Allen continued. “‘I think we did kill the actual living entity, whatever you call that, so, I think we’ve got to include these pagans into Judaism.’”
At this point, the conversation turned to a joke stand-ups tell about circumcision, with Maher taking credit for it.
