Denny Burk, professor of Biblical Studies at Boyce College, associate pastor at Kenwood Baptist Church, and president of the Council on Biblical Manhood & Womanhood, posted, “Here’s Don Lemon trying to pundit-splain this pastor that the radicals have a first amendment right to shut down his worship service. Lemon is absolutely wrong. This is a violation of a federal law called the FACE Act. AG is investigating already.”
Andrew T. Walker, associate professor of Christian Ethics and Public Theology at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, shared, “I have it on good authority that protesters were screaming in the face of youth at the church and following (and shouting at) young moms as they were trying to buckle children into to their vehicles to flee. Shame on them! Please do due diligence and investigate, @AAGDhillon.”
Calvary Church Pastor Willy Rice, who will be nominated for SBC President in June, said, “I join with many others in condemning the storming of an SBC Church in Minneapolis by anti-ICE protesters. The federal government should act to protect the civil rights of law abiding citizens exercising their right to worship.”
National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) President Troy Miller said, “Unacceptable. Christians are the most persecuted religious group in America and it’s time for the American Church to wake up and defend religious liberty and freedom.”
“Religious Liberty is SACRED in America. The vile people who did this MUST be prosecuted,” best-selling author Eric Metaxas posted. “MUST. This is what the Gestapo did in Germany in the 1930s. And the KGB did in the God-hating atheistic USSR. Churches are sacred. Patriots have given their lives over this issue.”
