More Assault Charges Filed Against PA Pastor
In February, Harrisburg Police filed more charges against Michael McMullen Sr., saying they were based on “an ongoing investigation into acts that McMullen committed with minors years ago.” The new charges include felony involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, felony corruption of minors, and misdemeanor indecent assault on a person younger than 13.
McMullen was arrested and arraigned last week. Because the pastor was unable to post monetary bail of $75,000, he is being held in the Dauphin County Prison. The preliminary hearing in his new case is slated for March 11.
According to McMullen’s social media posts, he studied at Fuller Theological Seminary and began serving at St. John AME Church in June 2021. Last July, McMullen posted photos from the AME 1st District Aspire Youth Congress, a large gathering that took place in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. His wedding ceremony took place last October.
Harrisburg Police are asking any additional victims—or anyone with knowledge that will assist the investigation—to contact them.
