‘Journey to Hell’ Is a Faith-Based Movie That Aims To Change Hearts and Lives

Chey’s evangelism approach in “Journey to Hell” doesn’t sit right with everyone, however. Relevant Magazine says the trailer for the low-budget “spectacle” reinforces the “notion…that ‘hell’ is just a mean fairy tale Christians tell each other to scare others into church.”

It adds, “This sort of ‘scare the hell out of you’ energy has been deployed by so-called hell houses and fire-n-brimstone preachers for decades, and you can ask the people who were traumatized by that energy just how effective it was for them.”

“Journey to Hell” is rated PG for strong thematic content, some language, violence, and suggestive references.
