Nevertheless, Bryant concluded his message saying that God is going to “release into your life, the stuff your father didn’t.” Congregants’ children will receive blessings, resources and property, and worshipers will not have to worry about their children begging, struggling with their gender identity, or needing to sleep with people to pay rent. After an extended altar call where Bryant invited people to come to the front and be freed from their co-dependencies, the pastor asked for tithes once again.
Bryant wrapped up the service by mentioning that a church staff member who is also a lawyer had warned him that if he only promotes candidates from one political party, such as Sen. Warnock and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, the church will be in danger of losing its nonprofit status. With that in mind, Bryant invited attendees to watch a video in order to hear from “the other candidates.” At this point, online footage simply shows a filler slide for the church service and there is silence.
“I invited both of them to speak today,” said Bryant about 30 seconds later as the church members laughed. “Obviously, they were not available.”
