Remnant Fellowship’s response to HBO Max’s docuseries was extensive, but the church does not yet appear to have posted anything regarding Lifetime’s movie. When ChurchLeaders reached out to Remnant Fellowship for comment, the church sent the following response:
The Remnant Fellowship denies that this storyline is based on anything factual about Gwen Lara’s life. She was kind, generous, loving, and cared for others above herself— nothing like this show portrays.
