Futrell wants what happened to him and his congregation to be a wake up call to all pastors and churches. He encouraged church leadership to be prepared.

Pastors must protect those who attend the church, Futrell said. Background checks, active shooter drills, and awareness to spot would-be intruders are some of things Futrell urged pastors and leaders to protect children within the church.

Police are still searching for the would-be robbers. In the meantime, All Creation Family Church has implemented active shooter drills for their children.
