‘Woke Transagenda’ — Franklin Graham Denounces Hershey’s Ad Featuring Trans Woman

“@Hersheys is using a biological man to represent women for International Women’s Day?? That’s really a slap in the face to women everywhere,” Graham tweeted on Friday (March 3).

Graham continued, “I hope mothers, sisters, and daughters will rise up and tell Michele Buck, President and CEO of Hershey’s—who is a woman—that they don’t appreciate this and she should stand with women, not the woke Transagenda.”

Other high profile conservatives likewise responded to the marketing campaign in characteristic fashion.

Former Arkansas governor and SBC Conservative Baptist Network council member Mike Huckabee tweeted, “What on earth was @Hersheys thinking? How disrespectful to women for @Hersheys to pick a man to represent women. Other companies make chocolate. Women (and men) have a choice.”

Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing announced the launch of “Jeremy’s Chocolates,” similar to his previous launch of shaving razors, to provide an alternative to “woke corporations.”

“We have two kinds: HeHim and SheHer,” Boreing tweeted. “One of them has nuts. If you need me to tell you which one, keep buying Hershey’s.”

Social commentator Jordan Peterson, fresh off a viral tweet in which he attempted to correct the theology of none other than the Pope despite not being a self-identified Christian himself, tweeted, “Time for conservatives to boycott @Hersheys. Enough is enough.”

A popular blogger and podcaster who goes by the online moniker of “The Honest Youth Pastor” noted that Hershey’s choice to advocate for LGBTQ+ advancement was not surprising, as Hershey’s previously launched a marketing campaign celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

“The newest Hershey’s ad isn’t anything people should be surprised about. They have been doing this for a while,” he tweeted. “The real question is why do Christians support companies that openly promote ideas that are opposed to God’s natural design?”
