‘The Onslaught Against Him Is Continual’ — Franklin Graham Calls for Prayer in Light of Possible Trump Indictment

Similarly, pastor and former U.S. Senate candidate Jackson Lahmeyer held a live streamed “national prayer call” on Monday night. Founder of “Pastors for Trump,” Lahmeyer is pastor of Sheridan Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“I think I can say, this may be one of the most important prayer calls in American history,” Lahmeyer said on Monday.

Guests on the call included Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, and none other than Donald Trump himself.

“It’s been an honor to be president. I’m running for president again. We’re doing very well in the polls. The polls are way up—way, way above any Republican or any Democrat,” Trump said on the call. “I’ve had tremendous support from the pastors and from people of faith.”

When asked how pastors could be praying for Trump “as a man and the soon-to-be 47th president of the United States,” Trump said, “Well, the best thing you could do for me is to pray for our country and the safety of our country.”

“The danger we’re in right now is greater than any danger we’ve ever had,” Trump added. “This has been a horrible period of time for the United States of America…We’re a failing nation.”

Lahmeyer then prayed for Trump, saying, “Father, your word says that when the wicked rule, the people groan. Right now, the people of the United States of America are groaning—groaning like never before—because wickedness is in all forms of high places in this nation.”

“But, Father, we thank you that you have raised up a man in Donald J. Trump for such a time as this,” Lahmeyer went on to pray. “When the righteous rule, your people rejoice. And so, Father, I thank you that a righteous man in Donald Trump is going to be back at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And the people of the United States will come to rejoice.”

Given the unprecedented nature of the possible forthcoming indictment, Secret Service officials have reportedly been coordinating with law enforcement officials to develop a plan that would allow Trump to be fingerprinted and processed without incident.
