Jasmine Riggs, Jayce’s mother, has indicated he had a minor respiratory infection, but was otherwise healthy. She called for an investigation into her son’s death and expressed anger that his paternal relatives didn’t keep her in the loop about his condition on Saturday.
“Thought I was doing the right thing by letting [Jayce’s father] see Jayce,” Riggs posted Sunday night. “I pray this autopsy gives me the answers I need. Lord, this pain is unbearable.”
Riggs added that members of the Griffin family “think money and status are gonna protect them from getting justice for my baby.” She urged people to share her story online so the investigation moves more quickly. In all caps, she wrote, “There is no way I let my baby be with his father and I don’t get answers of how three adults let this happen.”
