Through her work, Tada encourages the church to embrace and support people with all types of disabilities. Although that type of work can be “messy,” she said, so was the cross of Christ. “That’s where love comes into play, when God’s heart is applied to those whose needs are so desperate, like those with mental illness and those with severe depression,” Tada told The Christian Post.
The church needs a “heart change” for welcoming and ministering to people with disabilities, she added. “I think we’re getting there.”
