Several Christian leaders have voiced their appreciation for the new trailer and their hope that the movie will not disappoint. “A Socrates in the City event almost 20 years ago led to someone in our audience writing this play,” said author Eric Metaxas. “Which led to this movie. Cannot wait to see this!”

“Well, this looks incredible,” said Trevin Wax, Vice President of Research and Resource Development at the North American Mission Board. “It’s a new film with Anthony Hopkins and [Matthew] Goode that appears to capture the essence of ‘The Question of God’ — the book by Armand Nicholi that imagines an old Sigmund Freud and a young C.S. Lewis in conversation.”
