West’s unapologetic attitude about his antisemitic comments destroyed many of his partnerships, including the Yeezy/Adidas deal. Gap and Universal Music Group also dropped their promotions with him and distanced themselves from the artist.
Last month, Billboard reported that Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, who was featured on Donda’s “Junya Pt2,” are looking for someone to distribute their yet-to-be released joint album.
On Friday (Nov.17), a track titled “Vultures” debuted on DJ Pharris’ Power 92 radio show in Chicago. Just days before being named Billboards Top Gospel Artist, West revealed to fans that his days of creating gospel music, if not over, are at least on pause.
West used his latest release to address his antisemitic comments with a bleak return to his pre-salvation, explicit lyrics:
“Three gang leaders with me, all times. I don’t know who I f****d last night, I got Alzheimer’s. I don’t know who them hoes is, man, they all lyin’. Brody, tell me who them hoes is, man, they all fine. Runnin’ hooligan, and we with the foolishness. How I’m anti-semitic? I just f****d a Jewish b***h. I just f****d Scooter’s b***h and we ran up like Olympics. Got pregnant in the threesome, so whose baby is it? Whose baby is it? My n***as puttin’ belt to a**, pull up with the switches. This ain’t Jimmy Butler but the heat got extensions. This ain’t Columbine, but we came in with the trenches.”
