Steven Curtis Chapman Continues To Sing of God’s Faithfulness

Fans are forever grateful that Chapman has no plans of retiring anytime soon. After dozens of awards and No. 1 hits, the singer-songwriter said, “I’m completely blown away by the support for [the] song [“Don’t Lose Heart”] and for my music, even after so many years.”

Soon after Maria’s death, Chapman processed his grief the best way he knew how—through music. He recorded his 15th studio album, “Beauty Will Rise,” with the title track dedicated to his late daughter, Maria. The heartfelt lyrics include:

It was the day the world went wrong
I screamed till my voice was gone
And watched through the tears
As everything came crashing down

Out of these ashes
Beauty will rise
And we will dance among the ruins
We will see it with our own eyes
Out of these ashes
Beauty will rise
For we know joy is coming

Earlier this year, Chapman celebrated his 50th No. 1 hit. He recently posted a video of himself (and Brent Milligan and Randy Pearce) playing “Heaven in the Real World.” The song, released back in 1994, was the singer and songwriter’s 16th No. 1 hit.

More than 10,000 fans have viewed the video and many others commented. One fan said, “One of my favorite songs! It brings a smile to my face! Thank you for your music, and God’s message through it!”

Another posted about how meaningful Chapman’s story has been over the years. “Currently reading your memoir & I realized your story, along with Mary Beth’s, [has] been a part of so many milestones in mine,” the comment read. “Currently in the process to adopt another son from China, but are being told to wait. I hope to SEE him home one day soon…”
