‘Rich Men North of Richmond’ Singer Oliver Anthony Reads Scripture to Crowd at Grand Ole Opry

“I’m a nobody,” he said. “It’s my belief that divine intervention has put me in this position—in this point in time—to get a message across, and that’s all there is to it.”

On Wednesday, Anthony reflected on his experience performing at the Grand Ole Opry in a post on X (formerly Twitter). 

“I don’t know how to describe what it felt like being on that @Opry stage the other night. The insane nerves clashing with the overpowering love felt from the room,” Anthony wrote. “Y’all did this. Not me. You made my dream a reality. I’ll never forget that.”

Anthony is expected to release his debut album sometime in 2024.
