Barnabas Piper Congratulates Parents on 55 Years of Marriage, Shares Surprise Announcement

In a March 2023 blog post about turning 40, Piper wrote, “I never could have anticipated being where I am in my faith, my marriage, parenting, or ministry. Life is better than it ever has been in all the areas that matter most.”

Piper, assistant pastor of Immanuel Church in Nashville, spent 14 years in Christian publishing before entering ministry. He co-hosted “The Happy Rant” podcast, and his books include “The Pastor’s Kid” and “Help My Unbelief.”

When Piper joined “The Stetzer ChurchLeaders Podcast” in June 2023, he spoke about his newest book, “Belong: Loving Your Church by Reflecting Christ to One Another.” Piper said, “I don’t think you can have a genuine sense of belonging in a church without a healthy foundation of unity in Christ.” He added, “You have to have unity where we say Jesus first, Jesus always, and everything else will be dealt with in accordance with that.”
