Stroud told reporters it’s “cool” to be “working in what God has called into your life.” Although football is his passion, Stroud said his purpose “is really to spread [God’s] Word and…just be a light in this world. I’m blessed enough to do that every day.”

Last year, the Texans had a 3-13-1 record, and prior to this year the team went through three head coaches in three seasons. Being counted out this year provided extra motivation, Stroud admitted, saying it sometimes feels as if it’s “Houston versus the world.” The QB added it’s a great feeling to be “playing our best ball” when it matters the most.
Next up, Stroud and the Texans play the Ravens at Baltimore on Saturday, Jan. 20.
