“This was politically driven,” Whitehead said. “I stand on my innocence. I’m innocent of all charges.” He added, “I’m still a man of God, and I still preach the Word of God.”
Rasheed Anderson, son of Pauline Anderson, has a different view of the situation and of God’s actions. He told NBC New York, “It’s been an emotional roller coaster…it’s been a long time coming, and we’re very happy to see that the verdict was guilty today.”
Anderson said he had prayed that Whitehead would be found guilty and that he wanted “to give thanks to God because he was the one that, you know, revealed the truth.”
