Conversely, a number of conservative voices have come out in support of Butker, including Colin Smothers, Executive Director of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood. Smothers has started a petition of his own, urging the Chief to “Support Harrison Butker and Give Him a Raise.”

At the time of this article, the petition has 53 signatures.
Similarly, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), Tennessee Pastor Erik Reed remarked, “The fact that this is controversial with CHRISTIANS shows how far off the path we’ve gone. Our churches are filled with individuals that have been catechized more effectively by the culture and modern feminism than by Scripture.”
Others pointed out the false dichotomy of Butker’s words about women being homemakers in lieu of pursuing careers outside the home.
“I am a wife and mother, and I have a fulfilling career,” one woman wrote on X. “I share homemaking responsibilities with my family, because it takes family working together to make a home.”
