The pastor also referenced “demonic activity” that sometimes gets labeled as “mental illness,” when other factors are to blame, including video games, junk food, broken families, and teaching evolution. “Do you realize that if we got on our knees and prayed, God might do something?” Hibbs told congregants.
Republicans are “just as bad as Democrats,” said the pastor. “Never underestimate the Republicans’ ability to screw up a good moment, to screw up a good opportunity.” He criticized the GOP for “embracing woke on its upcoming platform,” such as “taking down the intensity of defending an unborn child” and watering down “the definition of marriage.”
In a closing prayer, Hibbs asked God to “come back to this country” and work miracles. “May we not wave a flag all over the place without the Holy Spirit being pleased with our conduct,” he prayed.
