“Integrity is not hard to prove if you have integrity, just let people see it demonstrated, tell the truth. Be transparent,” LeBlanc said.
LeBlanc said that sexual abuse inside of churches like Gateway Church is “not an in-house issue” and encouraged leaders to notify law enforcement immediately.
LeBlanc closed by warning churchgoers to “avoid the hero pastor.”
“I would avoid it like the plague,” he said. “Don’t go find another man to pastor your church, to pastor your family—who is the hero of all of his stories.”
