In a recent social media post, Pastor Greg Laurie congratulated Trump on winning the election and then proposed a question to Christians: “Well, the election is over…What do we do now?”
Laurie, who leads of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, defended himself last month for praying at a rally for Donald Trump last month.
Laurie, the evangelist whose life is depicted in the 2023 major motion picture “Jesus Revolution,” said, “I’m sure that about half of you are really happy. I don’t know how many of you are not so happy. But what do we do now?”
“Hey, what we do now as Christians is we go back to what we should have always been doing, and back to what we always should be doing,” Laurie explained. “That is living out our faith [by] being salt and light in the culture.”

He then asked, “What does that mean?”

“Well,” he answered, “light means we let people know we’re believers in Jesus [and] also [through] our good works.”
“Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven,” Laurie continued.

Laurie also reminded Christians to “be salt” and explained that “in the first century, salt stopped the rotting process.” Laurie said that Christians in today’s culture must “speak out against what is wrong and speak up for what is right.”
