Jesus is angered by the sight of those buying and selling animals for sacrifice.

“My house shall be called a house of prayer,” Jesus shouts, “but you make it a den of thieves!”

Jesus cracks a whip and turns over the tables of those who are using the outer courts of the temple for their own financial and political gain.

Roman officials asks Jesus, “By what authority are you doing these things?”

“My own,” answers Jesus.

Actor Elizabeth Tabish, who portrays Mary Magdalene, recently said that “everything’s just ramped up” in this season.

The trailer depicts the escalating battle between Jesus and the Romans. Roman officials are seen gathering to discuss what they’ll do with Jesus.

“You serpents!” cries Jesus. “How will you escape being condemned to hell?”

“Jesus operates entirely outside our jurisdiction,” one official says.

Another counters, “The world is changing and Jesus offers a vision to redeem it.”

“He’s not the Messiah!” yet another argues.
