Jenn Johnson, Paul McClure, Hanna McClure, Edward Rivera, David Funk, Kristene DiMarco, John Wilds, and Emmy Rose will lead a “powerful time of worship and ministry, providing moments for attendees to respond, wait on the Lord, and be unified as His people.”
Many Christian Artists Received Their Start With Bethel Music
Whether through its music school or through the local church ministry, Bethel Music has provided a start to many aspiring worship leaders. Bethel Music Worship School offers “five days of worship, teaching and ministry with over 50+ classes,” including leadership, pastoring, songwriting, and worship and production.”
“Grow your skills while you learn what it means to be fully alive in Christ and grow in a deeper understanding of who you are in Him,” the event description states.
Some artists have remained with Bethel Music, while others have embarked on solo careers and left the label for other reasons.
Brandon Lake led the 2024 Dove Awards with 16 nominations last year and continues his successful solo career. Lake recently raised eyebrows by inviting Jelly Roll to record a version of Lake’s song “Hard Fought Hallelujah.”
“I don’t know what Bible somebody’s reading that would hate on a collaboration like this,” Lake said of the collaboration. “If you look at Jesus’ life, look who he spent time with. Even the 12 he called were jacked up—you know.”
Controversy continues to surround the former Bethel member Dante Bowe, who went on to be a part of Maverick City Music before being dismissed from the group. Bowe’s provocative music videos and decision to post inappropriate photos have raised questions from fellow artists and fans.
For more than 10 years, Steffany Gretzinger served with Bethel Music as a student in the school, worship leader, and songwriter. She left when her family relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019.
“Steff, your faith to follow Jesus anywhere He takes you both in worship and in life has been a constant inspiration,” Bethel Music posted, announcing her departure. “You’ve demonstrated to a generation the freedom, joy, peace and purity that come when we abandon ourselves fully to Jesus.”
