“And so that is incredibly, incredibly rewarding as an artist,” said Finley, noting that “it’s a little bit more pressure, you know, to have Bart Millard on set as I’m trying to tell his story. And the same with John [Skinner]. But I think people would be surprised to find how incredibly generous and giving and caring these real people are.”
“And I think they’ve probably had a pep talk,” Finley commented, “like, ‘Hey, this isn’t going to be what you think it is. You’re going to feel differently about this.’ But once they’ve had a pep talk, I’ve found them to be really, really generous, and encouraging to tell their story.”
