“The idea of just trying to tell a story, so for me, it was just delivering the lines,” Grant said, going on to praise Rhonda Halbert for giving “great direction.”
Rhonda Halbert said that shortly after she sent a pre-release copy of the “Caretaker” book to her longtime friend Jill Pickering, Pickering sent back a recording of a song she had written.
The song was “Home (Lyana’s Song),” which Grant went on to record and is featured on the audiobook.

“I wept, because she told our story in a song,” said Rhonda Halbert. “She wrapped up the beauty of that entire book in one song.”
