In addition to asking PMBC to pray for Buice and his family, the elders said that they “grieve for the harm caused to the body of Christ and to those faithful ministers who were targeted,” and they are committed “to walk in the light, to speak the truth in love, and to labor together for the building up of Christ’s church in holiness and unity.”

The statement also shared that Buice resigned as the president of G3 Ministries after a few of the ministry’s board members encouraged him to do so.

The board members of G3 Ministries released a similar statement. The statement explained that Buice’s content will remain on G3 Ministries’ website but that the organization is canceling its “upcoming national G3 Conference and all 2025 workshops.” G3 Ministries board members include Tom Buck, Chip Thornton, Buck Braswell, Adam Burrell, Matt Broome, and Jonathan Frazier.

Buck expressed on social media that the past week “has been one of the most painful and difficult times in [his] entire ministry.”

“I am thankful for the faithfulness of all the men on the G3 Board and I stand fully behind our decision,” he added. “We have sought to be fully transparent, and all our actions have been made after many tears, hours of deliberation, and earnest prayer before the Lord.”

Scott Aniol, who is a PMBC non-vocational elder, executive vice president and editor-in-chief of G3 Ministries, and professor of pastoral theology at Grace Bible Theological Seminary, posted, “I cannot express how grieved I am about this. Please pray for G3 Ministries and especially for Pray’s Mill Baptist Church.”

Virgil Walker, vice president of ministry relations for G3, shared, “As you can imagine, we are heartbroken over this news. Please pray for G3 Ministries and our team.”

Grace Bible Theological Seminary informed ChurchLeader that they plan to release a statement within the next couple of days.
