“I don’t speak for the G3 board, but as a board member, I think Josh Buice’s statement is not a true and accurate representation of what actually transpired,” Buck posted on social media. “When Josh met with Voddie, the email [he sent to The Roys Report] was not yet discovered.”
Buck said, “So, Josh has not yet repented to Voddie for going to Roys to get her to investigate him. In fact, he never told Voddie that he had done this wicked act.”
“Furthermore,” Buck continued, “I believe this to be more of the ongoing minimization by Josh of his sin. He lied about Voddie misappropriating funds and lied in his accusation of plagiarism.” Buck said that Buice “claimed to have evidence for his lies. It is quite clear that Josh’s actions were purely vindictive. Josh didn’t merely ‘criticize’ Voddie, he vindictively lied about him and slandered his name.”
“I’m personally grieved by Josh’s lack of true repentance,” Buck added.
“[You] decide for yourself,” Buck said. “I can’t approve of the misrepresentation by Josh in his apology.”
Ascol also publicly commented on Buice’s statement. “Read this clear, plain statement of facts by @TomBuck, then Josh’s statement, then the slanderous email he anonymously sent,” Ascol posted on X. “Then go read 2 Corinthians 7:9-11 to see how worldly sorrow compares to godly sorrow that leads to true repentance.”
