Rogan has been exploring Christianity for several months, often discussing religion and faith with guests on his podcast.

In January, Rogan hosted apologist Wes Huff, and Rogan asked Huff about the possibility of miracles, the evidence for the resurrection, and why Huff believes that Jesus was more than just a moral teacher.

Since that time, Huff has said that he and Rogan have remained in conversation with each other. In May, Huff revealed that Rogan “is attending a church and that that has been a consistent thing.”

Rogan’s recent comments about his church-going experience came in the context of a three-hour conversation with comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normand, and Ari Shaffir. The episode aired on June 5.

During the conversation, the men discussed various political and cultural issues, drug usage, and their pornography viewing habits.

Later in the conversation, Normand asked Rogan if he had been attending church after Rogan mentioned that he had not consumed any alcohol in the past three months.

“Wait, are you going to church too, or is that bulls**t?” Normand questioned.

Rogan replied, “I have been to church,” to which Normand reacted, “Oh, f**k.”

“Have you ever been to church before?” Rogan asked. Normand said, “I’ve been.”
