“I tried that. I did that,” said Rogan. Gillis recounted going to a Catholic Church, saying, “It’s so nice. A guy gave me a rosary; I keep it. Very nice.”

Normand asked Rogan “what kind” of church he attended.

“It’s just a Christian church,” Rogan said. Shaffir chimed in, “A non-denominational Christian [church].”

“Yeah, all that f**king gibberish,” Gillis joked, apparently referring to speaking in tongues. Normand questioned, “Joel Osteen s**t?”

“Yeah, I’m just giving all my money to Osteen,” Rogan sarcastically replied before moving on from the topic.

A few minutes later, Rogan returned to the topic of alcohol, saying, “The only reason I stopped the booze was because I wanted to see what it’d be like to have no booze for a long period of time.”

“And it’s a lot better,” he added. “You feel a lot better.”

Normand asked, “Don’t you get bored though at night?”

Rogan expressed that he thought he would but said, “I have fun doing standup [comedy]. I have fun hanging out in the green room.” Rogan also said that he was tired of alcohol negatively impacting his workouts.

“You’ll be back. You’ll be back,” said Normand. Rogan replied, “You think so? That’s a supportive friend.”

“It’s just one of those things where you stop doing it,” Rogan said, “and you’re like, ‘Oh, I feel so much better. Why was I doing that?’” He added, “I had a good time drinking. Don’t get me wrong. It’s just I don’t like what it does to your body.”
