Robert James Ritchie, better known by his stage name Kid Rock, joined The Joe Rogan Experience last month (Feb. 22). During the interview, the singer asked Rogan if he’d like to know Jesus.
The conversation about Jesus was sparked after Rogan asked Kid Rock where he would go if he had the opportunity to go back in time and visit someone.
“Jesus,” Kid Rock answered without hesitation.
“What if there was nobody there?” Rogan replied, alluding to his belief that Jesus might not have existed. Kid Rock misunderstood Rogan’s question, saying, “Even better—I get him all to myself. Just me and Jesus!”

“No, I mean what if Jesus wasn’t there?” Rogan clarified.
“He’d be there,” the rap country rocker stated, telling Rogan that he “absolutely, 1000%” believes that Jesus is real.
Rogan asked, “What makes you convinced?”
“My faith,” Kid Rock answered.
“That’s a good answer,” Rogan told Kid Rock. He then went on to share why he is skeptical of the Bible and whether Jesus was real.
“I always wonder when people are telling stories, though,” Rogan shared. “Like, how long does it story take before people wrote it down? How many times did people alter it just like they do with everything today?”
“I gotta imagine that at certain point in time, in history, they probably didn’t tell the truth about a lot of things. And we take those things and tell them through oral traditions,” he said.

Rogan continued asking more questions, “So you think the real truth was that he actually was the Son of God?”
“Yes,” Kid Rock again answered.
“It’d be amazing if it was true,” Rogan said, to which Kid Rock replied, “It is amazing.”
“I believe you. I believe that you believe that,” Rogan told Kid Rock.
Kid Rock then asked Rogan if he’d like to be introduced to Jesus and said that he could ask his pastor, Paula White, who is a spiritual advisor of former President Donald Trump, to come on to his show and talk about Jesus.
