Wonder Project, the independent studio behind Prime Video’s critically acclaimed biblical series “House of David,” announced this week that it will launch a new subscription service through Prime Video.
According to a press release, subscribers will get early access to new original films and series produced by Wonder Project. At launch, the new streaming service will feature over 1,000 hours of curated movies and TV series that reflect the company’s mission: “to entertain the world with courageous stories, inspiring hope and restoring faith in things worth believing in.”
“House of David” Season 1 depicts the life of the biblical figure David and is filled with intense battles with the Philistines, including David’s heroic battle against the giant Goliath.
In April, “House of David” became the No. 1 show on Prime Video following the release of the Season 1 finale. The series has reached over 40 million viewers worldwide.
Season 2 will be available this fall exclusively with a Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video.
Wonder Project’s intent with its premium subscription is to “super-serve audiences” who are searching for “transformative and high-quality entertainment.”
The paid service will feature not only Wonder Project produced originals but also “carefully curated” entertainment, including films and shows that will bring families together, “reignite courage, inspire connection, and nurture a sense of hope.”
Wonder Project founder Jon Erwin shared, “We are blown away by the success of ‘House of David’ and can’t wait for audiences to be swept away into the epic action and drama of Season 2.”

The chief executive officer of Wonder Project, Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten, said, “At Wonder Project, we seek to entertain our growing audience with courageous stories that restore faith in things worth believing in.”
“Great films and TV shows bring families, friends and communities together and drive meaningful connection in a world that is craving connection right now,” she added. “As a mother, I can’t wait to have this shared viewing experience in my own home—through a brand we can truly call our own.”
The Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video will be available in the U.S. for $8.99/month.
