Demi-Leigh said that she always wanted to name her daughter, if she had one, Daphne and was thankful when Tim loved the name just as much as she did.
Daphne’s middle name, Reign, is “a name that holds so much meaning,” said Demi-Leigh. “It’s inspired by a precious little girl Tim and I have loved deeply for years.”
“Her story has shaped our hearts in ways I can’t even begin to explain. But more than anything,” Demi-Leigh said, “her name reminds us that when you’re adopted into God’s family, you become a child of the King. You were made to rule and reign—not in power, but in purpose, love, and identity.”
In a recent interview on “The Shawn Ryan Show,” Tim Tebow and Shawn Ryan spoke extensively about the evils of child abuse and exploitation and how Tim’s foundation is fighting to protect children.
Tim said that his daughter’s middle name, which the Tebows had not yet revealed, comes from “one of the youngest girls we’ve ever been able to bring out of this evil and care for.” That girl was rescued at 25 days old.
“So here she is—our daughter. Our answered prayer,” Demi-Leigh said as she concluded. “Daphne Reign Tebow—created in the image of God. Royalty as His princess. Our biggest prayer over her is to reign in God’s purpose for her life.”
