“And we probably see both sides through this. Some people saw him potentially as an idol, and he let us down. Of course; he’s human,” LeFavour continued. “But now what we need to avoid is putting ourselves in a position where we feel like we’re better than him—because we are not.”
“We are all sinners. And that is a battle. That is a battle to not give in to that mindset. ‘Look what he did; he’s so terrible.’ That’s not what we should say,” LeFavour argued. “We should say, ‘Lord, I’m a sinner too. Thank you for keeping me from that situation. And, Lord, help me repent of what I’ve done.’ Again, our hope is in nobody but the Lord.”
