“In the Old Testament, God delivered His people from slavery to belong to Him. The Exodus points forward to Christ: just as God delivered Israel to Himself, He delivers us to Himself through His Son,” said Carter.
“Salvation is not only about being rescued from future judgment; it is about being drawn into the loving arms of God,” Carter continued. “To be in fellowship with Him, adopted into His royal family, and to belong to Him forever.”
“The Gospel is relational. It is purposeful. Your life was so precious to God that He bought it at the highest price, with the life of His Son,” he said. “The One who set the sun in the sky, who hung the stars in their places, calls you His own, His cherished possession.”

“The Gospel gives us purpose: to know God, to make Him known, to glorify Him, and to reflect Christ in the world. We were saved by Christ so that Christ would reign in us. We belong to Him. Our identity is in Him,” Carter added. “And for those who are in Christ, nothing can separate us from His love, and nothing can take us away from Him.”
“We were saved from death. We were saved for God. And there is no greater place to be than in His presence, in His loving arms, forever calling Him ‘Abba, Father,’” the post concluded. “Let this truth sink in today: for those who put their faith in Christ, you belong to Him, now and for eternity.”
In addition to these and numerous other social media posts, Carter has released a book, titled “If I’m Not By Your Side: Legacy of Faith and Wisdom for the Next Generation.”
The book is a “heartfelt collection of personal stories, reflections, and life lessons, highlighting the unshakable faith and wisdom gained by walking with God,” according to its description.
