John 17:20-23 tells us “…I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one.” And then continues with, “…may they be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Amen to that passage of scripture, which we are seeing come to life before our very eyes!
A common expression in time of war is “there are no atheists in foxholes,” recognizing that when death is near, soldiers want to make sure they are right with God before they enter eternity. For us today, those who believe in Christ recognize the same spirit in one another and have joined forces in the battle we face. Everyone’s a Christian in our foxhole, and no other labels matter.
