In the new FX docuseries “The Secrets of Hillsong,” disgraced former Hillsong East Coast Pastor Carl Lentz and his wife open up about their marital woes. Lentz also points to widespread cultural problems at the scandal-plagued megachurch, based in Australia.

Nearly three years after being fired as pastor of Hillsong East Coast, Carl Lentz will offer his first public interview since his fall from grace in FX’s new docuseries, “Secrets of Hillsong."

Tim Ross, who serves as Transformation Church's oversight pastor, delivered a brief statement on the church's hiring of disgraced former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz.

In a surprise move, disgraced former Hillsong Church pastor Carl Lentz has joined the staff of the nondenominational Transformation Church in Tusla, Oklahoma. The church is led by pastors Mike and Natalie Todd.

This week a fourth episode dropped in the Discovery+ docuseries "Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed." Airing on partner network TLC, the “Newest Revelations” installment recaps developments that have occurred since March, when the first three episodes premiered.

On Wednesday, former Hillsong pastor Carl Lentz made his first Instagram post since November 2020, when it was revealed that he had been involved in an extramarital affair and had stepped down from his role as pastor. 

The series follows Hillsong’s journey from small church plant to global empire, chronicling the various scandals surrounding Carl Lenz, Brian Houston, as well as Houston’s father, Frank Houston. 

While traveling to preach at churches in the state of Missouri, Hillsong pastor Brian Houston described himself as "obviously devastated" by the recent charges against him.
