Rapper Lil Nas X continued to promote his new “Christian era” album on Tuesday by falsely claiming he had been accepted to Liberty University, one of the largest Christian universities in the nation.

Dr. Rosaria Butterfield criticized Revoice, Cru, and Dr. Preston Sprinkle and his Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender while speaking at a Liberty University convocation Friday, Nov. 10.

Liberty University is facing an "unprecedented fine" in the amount of $34.7 million, according to university president, Dr. Dondi E. Costin.

The ongoing legal battle between Liberty University and Jerry Falwell Jr. has taken yet another twist, with the disgraced former president of the school alleging misconduct by its board of directors.

Tajh Boyd, a freshman football player at Liberty University, passed away earlier this month. A medical examiner has now reported that Boyd died by suicide.

In a statement, a Liberty University spokesperson insisted the school 'is confident it will ultimately prevail in this case.'

Jerry Falwell Jr. is suing Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, claiming that his former employer has withheld $8.5 million in retirement benefits that were previously promised to him. 

In the documentary, the narrative of which is driven by Giancarlo Granda, the Falwells are portrayed as sexually abusive and emotionally coercive, all while gaining influence in the evangelical political machine.
