Christmas Outreach Ideas for Youth (cont.)
6. Parking Lot Hot Cocoa Booth
Next on the list… Set up a free cocoa station outside a big-box store. Teens hand out drinks, wish people a Merry Christmas, and offer to pray for anyone who asks.
7. Window Painting for Businesses
Offer to paint temporary Christmas scenes on store windows. Teens can get creative with snowflakes, stars, and more.
8. Yard Nativity Makeover Team
Visit church families who own Nativity sets. Help them clean, repair, or set them up in front yards.
9. Christmas Kindness Rocks
Paint rocks with Christmas messages (“Jesus brings hope,” “Joy to the world,” etc.). Teens hide them around town for people to find.
10. Carols-by-Request Hotline
Set up a phone number or Google Form. Community members request a carol, and your teens show up on their porch (within boundaries) to sing one song and leave a card or candy cane.
11. Christmas Trivia Night
Instead of caroling at a retirement home, students host a trivia night. Mix Bible trivia with fun holiday questions. Prize: bragging rights and a whole lot of laughs!
12. Gingerbread House Competition
Partner with a foster-care agency or after-school program. Teens help younger kids decorate gingerbread houses for messy, sugary fun.
13. Manger Decoration Drop-Off
Teens make and deliver simple DIY wooden star ornaments or small manger decorations to neighborhood houses. Include a “Merry Christmas from your neighbors” note.
14. Chalk Art Outreach
Teens draw Christmas-themed chalk art on sidewalks near the church, library, or park.
