Across continents, cultures and generations, people are turning to the Bible in record numbers. And with the rise of digital tools across the globe, those seeking answers can find Scripture where they already spend a lot of their time: their smartphones.
We’re watching technology transform how God’s Word reaches the world—through more languages, formats, and platforms than ever before. Simultaneously, we’re seeing a surge in high-quality Christian storytelling that brings Scripture to life. It’s not just about access anymore; it’s about engagement through compelling, theologically sound narratives.
Technology is amplifying stories from Scripture and from everyday believers. These stories are crossing borders and languages like never before and they’re carrying the same transformative message—that hope and peace are found in knowing the living God. In order to generate real impact, we must understand the cultural moment we’re in and what underlying needs are drawing people in.
Greater engagement with God’s Word is transformative. A recent State of the Bible survey found that 84% of churchgoers strongly agree that the message of the Bible has transformed their lives.
“Transformation” is a radical word. But a transformation is exactly what’s occurring—and it’s happening on a global scale. Just as importantly, it’s happening right now, in an overwhelmingly digital age.
As we unite around the common goal of seeing God’s Word transform lives, each person and organization called to sharing God’s Word and his hope will have unique stories to tell, unique resources to deploy. That’s why collaboration makes us stronger individually and gives us a broader reach than we’d have alone.
Partnerships multiply our impact through shared resources, insights, and platforms. Our time on Earth is limited. Together, we can fulfill our significant calling to reach all people with the hope and peace of Jesus.
Making and sharing intentional, authentic content allows us to meet people where they are in today’s fast-paced digital age—just as Christ meets us each in intentional and deeply personal ways, yesterday, today, and always. Digital partnerships in particular allow Christians to connect with believers from all walks of life, from all over the world.
For instance, Come and See collaborated with The Bible Project to create Bible Plans based on “The Chosen,” which were then hosted on YouVersion’s platform. The campaign exceeded all expectations—originally projected to generate 20 million impressions, it reached 44.9 million total views.
People all over the world were touched deeply by the Bible Plans and messages shared. They encountered God’s Word and creative, compelling, authentic Christian storytelling drawn from it. And that impact was possible because we forged a partnership that used digital media to earnestly, sincerely and strategically share the greatest story ever told.
Every single impression represents a chance for someone to be transformed by an encounter with God. This is the power of intentional digital content centered around God’s Word. And we used technology to reach them, together.
