“The Chosen” Season 5 has set a Guinness World Record for the most translated streaming series in history.
Come and See, the foundation that exists to ensure that the entire series of “The Chosen” will be translated into 600 languages, announced on Sunday, Sept. 28, that “‘The Chosen’ has officially been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most translated season for a streaming series in history.”
Sunday also marked the release of Season 5’s debut on The Chosen app. Now, all five seasons can be streamed for free on the app.
ChurchLeaders recently spoke with Giavani Cairo, the actor who plays Thaddeus, and Cairo reflected on his journey and experience of playing the disciple.
Cairo admitted that he initially knew little about Thaddeus when he took the role but quickly learned that Thaddeus is also known as St. Jude, the patron saint of hopeless causes.
During the interview, Cairo described the emotions he felt filming the Last Supper scene in Season 5. He shared his nostalgia and gratitude, recalling the journey from the show’s first season to present.
Cairo related the symbolic meaning of the disciples’ last meal with Jesus to his own relationships with the cast and crew—emphasizing the familial bonds formed over the years and the realization that their journey together is nearing its end as the series approaches its final seasons.
Cairo discussed Season 5’s global release on The Chosen app while emphasizing the show’s impact, noting its achievement of setting a Guinness World Record. He encouraged fans—especially those who previously lacked access—to experience Season 5 on the app.
